The Witcher 3 console commands 1.31. Cat School Armor

In Game The Witcher 3 there are a lot of different secrets, and sometimes, in order to stumble upon them, you will need a lot of time studying the world of the game. But in order to facilitate and shorten this difficult path, some players resort to the help of console commands and cheat-codes, a full list of which you can find below.

How to open and enable the console without mod:

In order for the console to become available to you in the game, you need to perform some manipulation of one of the game files. You will need to find the game folder. If you purchased it on Steam, then the path should be something like this...SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\The Witcher 3\bin\config\base. In the "base" folder you need to find a file called "general.ini" (The file contains only a couple of lines) and change it a little by adding an extra line to the end of the document (which you can open using Notepad) the line you need add in order to use the game console - " DBGConsoleOn=true". It should look like this:

After you write a new line in the document, you will have the opportunity to use the console during the game and enter certain cheat codes that affect the gameplay. In order to call the console, you need to go into the game and press the tilde "`", in the line that appears, simply enter the necessary commands, a full list of which you will find below.

Important! All codes must be entered as they are written below, with capital and small letters, depending on the cheat, otherwise it simply may not work.

Basic, most frequently used commands (cheat codes)

Designation in brackets "1" - enable cheat, "0" - disable cheat. This code will give you the ability to permanently use night vision without resorting to the elixir. It will be useful in dark places, for example when exploring caves, if you do not have a torch or elixir with you.

When you activate the code, your Geralt will suddenly feel drunk without drinking a drop of alcohol, the screen around the character will become blurry and it will completely seem that the Witcher is drunk. Long-term use may cause dizziness, so do not overuse

By activating this cheat, descriptions of absolutely all the characters that you can meet in the game, completing tasks or simply having a dialogue with them, will be added to the “Characters” tab. It will be very useful if you want to study a little the lore of the Witcher and his relationships with some characters.

Perhaps you have sometimes encountered strange creatures, or you want to know which of the creatures you may encounter in the future passage of the game. Then this code will be very useful to you, because it will add to your “Bestiary” tab a description of all monsters and creatures that differ from humans in different characteristics and skills.

By writing this code, a first-level bandit will appear next to your character, by killing whom you can collect random loot (very cheap).

After the code is entered, your Geralt will gain (or rather lose) all the characteristics that he had at the beginning of the game. That is, all the property you found will disappear from your inventory, and the character himself will become level one, without upgraded skills and available skill points. You will have to level up again, but without the help of the initial tasks, since it is the completed quests that will remain in the corresponding tab. Recipes that you managed to find during the gameplay will also remain available.

As you probably already guessed, this password will make you an invincible killing machine (in other words, immortality), which is not afraid of any enemies or falls. This code will help you go through some places that are almost impassable in some quests of the game at the maximum difficulty level, for example, the battle with rats during the task. Well, or you just want to relax and not pay attention to your health during battles. Enemies will seem to miss the witcher, causing him 0 damage.

Fully restores the witcher's health points, which will allow you to save food and not waste time meditating. very useful if you suddenly fall down the stairs and almost die, and you don’t have food or potions with you.

In parentheses, instead of the "^" symbol, you will need to indicate the level you need. This code only works to increase the level, but you can decrease it only if you reset the character using "cleardevelop". You will also be given skill points for each level you gain. This code can be useful if you come across a high-level order or task on your way, and you are not yet experienced enough to complete it, but you really want it.

Unlike the previous code, it will add a certain amount of experience to you, which is not enough for the next level. This will be very useful for you if, for example, you found armor for level 27 and you are missing quite a bit to reach it (level 26, for example), but you don’t want to look for enemies at all.

In parentheses, instead of the "^" symbol, you will need to indicate the amount of experience you need. This will be useful for perfectionists who are faced with a number that does not end in 0 (for example, you have 209 experience, using the code you can add any number, for example 1, and you will have 210). In the example, I added 1332 experience.

Gives you the opportunity to receive any number of skill points, regardless of your level, which you can distribute as you wish. But there is one catch, you will still need a high level in order to unlock all the skill slots.

Will add a purification potion to your inventory, which, when used, will reset all skill points you have allocated and give you the opportunity to allocate them again. It will be very useful for those players who, by chance or inexperience, distributed points in a different direction than they would have liked.

In parentheses, instead of the "^" symbol, you will need to indicate the number of coins you need. In the world of the Witcher, a lot of different equipment is sold and sometimes you simply may not have enough money for a good sword. In this case, this code will be very useful for you, since you can become a millionaire and completely forget about such a problem in the game as money.

Reduces the amount of money in Geralt's wallet. In parentheses, instead of the "^" symbol, you will need to indicate how much money you want to deduct from your wallet. It will be useful for you if you went a little overboard with the number of crowns when using the previous code, and now you want to return everything back. Or just make yourself homeless :)

Kills all enemies who are close to the witcher. It will be very useful for you if you are completing the game on the highest difficulty level and are suddenly faced with a horde of enemies.

Gives you access to fast movement using pointers, which will all become available after applying the code. There are many places that will take you a long time to get to, such as the Skellige Islands, which can only be reached by boat. This code will allow you to get to any place, provided that the pointer is there.

Opens all the icons and points on your map, and also gives access to all locations. You can end up anywhere, for example on the Skellige Islands, without going through the quest.

Opens all unknown places on your map, which are indicated by a question mark "?". It will be very useful if you want to destroy all monster nests or find places of power. It will save you from not knowing where you are going at the moment - to meet with bandits, or to search for treasure.

This cheat will help you move to any point you have discovered where there is a sign. In this case, you will not need to approach the sign; you can teleport simply using the map at any point.

By typing this code, a Gwent game awaits you. If you suddenly want to play gwent, but there is no opponent nearby, then this code is what you need.

Allows you to win the started gwent game at any stage. It will be very useful for you if for some reason you cannot beat your opponent, but this is very important for you.

Adds all cards in the game to your deck. This will allow you to win against the most difficult opponents, using all tactics, and also complete the task “Collect a complete collection of cards for gwent”

Pause at any time, while still allowing you to rotate the camera in any direction. It will be very useful if you want to see something in the screensaver, or think through battle tactics. Or enjoy a jump from a height.

This code will remove the pause described above and allow you to continue playing.

This command will allow you to go to the main menu of the game at any time. Be careful, the entire unsaved process will be lost.

Summons a boat to any location. Geralt will immediately be on it, and if you used this command on land, you can get a bug and end up in the textures, endlessly falling down while sitting on a boat.

Creates a horse next to Geralt, but not a roach. You can summon it anywhere, but if you do this, for example, in water, then after riding this horse a little, it will disappear.

Adds a specific item to your inventory. In order to get the item you need, you need to specify the id of the item in brackets instead of the "^" symbol, after which it will immediately appear in your bag and you will be able to use or sell it. It will be very useful if you want to get better weapons or armor, as well as a quest item that for some reason you cannot get. For example, a code was entered here to obtain the Sarrim sword.

This command will give you the opportunity to shave Geralt at any time convenient for you, without resorting to the outside help of a barber. This will allow your witcher to remain neat on long hikes.

Makes it rain. If you are in a bad mood or depressed, or just want to add some atmosphere to the game, then this command will be very useful for you.

Turns off the rain. Bad weather events accompanying Geralt's adventures are very common and sometimes, even after meditating for several days, it is not possible to get rid of the rain. It is for such cases that this cheat exists.

Eat an apple. Sometimes there are moments in the game when you simply run out of food and in order not to look for different console commands, you can simply use this one and restore some health by having a snack.

Changes Geralt to Ciri. Playing as Ciri at some points, sometimes you have a desire to go through the Witcher for her, this is the team that will give you the opportunity to run around playing as a girl. In order to return back to the witcher's body you need to use the command replaceplayer("Geralt")

Instructions for launching the console and a list of available console commands. Codes for armor, weapons, items, characters

How to start the console

The console in the game is present solely for testing by the developers, so it is blocked for ordinary players. But it is still possible to enable it, although the most reliable method involves installing unofficial third-party software.

Method with installing a mod (reliable): download the mod from the link. The page shows an old version of the game, but the mod works on more recent ones. Then unzip the downloaded archive and copy the resulting files to The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\x64 folder.

Method without installing a mod (less reliable): Find the general.ini file in The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\config\base folder and open it with notepad. Enter the line DBGConsoleOn=true.

After completing the steps in the first or second method, try launching the console using the F2 key or tilde (~). If successful, you can use the codes listed below. Free camera mode is now activated by pressing the F1 key; a special console command is not needed for it.

ATTENTION! To obtain items (armor, weapons, potions, etc.), use the additem("***") command, where instead of asterisks you need to insert the name of the desired item (the list is given below). If the additem("***") command has already been specified, you DO NOT need to specify it again.

In such a large-scale and complex game as The Witcher 3, you cannot do without a special tool for testing the stability and performance of all game elements. The developers used a console during testing, which allowed them to enter commands to change world or hero settings. Players also have the opportunity to use a tool that will help in their passage. Next, you will learn how to open the console in The Witcher 3 and what to do with it.

How to activate?

Before the game's release, the developers blocked the opportunity and released the project for sale without a console. However, after some time, fans learned about this feature and released an amateur mod that allows you to open the tool.

Before opening the console in The Witcher 3, you must download a special Debug Console Enabler patch, which is distributed free of charge on most mod sites (for example, nexusmods.com).

Run the patch and install the contents of the archive into the game directory. For the mod to work correctly, you need to download and install Visual C++ from the official Microsoft website.

How to use?

If you did everything correctly, you can easily launch the game with this modification.

Launch The Witcher using any method and load the save. While in game, press F2 or ~ to launch the console. The mod also has an additional feature - free camera mode. To go to it, press the F1 key. With this mode, you can freely move the camera and view the world and characters from any angle.

If you are using a licensed copy of Steam, the game can automatically download new patches. In this case, the console will be disabled again. To fix it, repeat the procedure with the console mod. Now you know how to open the console in The Witcher 3. Let's move on to the codes.

Using the console, an ordinary player will be able to access hidden features, add new items, go to closed locations, and so on. Below are the main codes that will help you pass.

Controlling Geralt and changing his abilities:

  • God allows you to become immortal;
  • Healme restores all the hero’s health;
  • Ciri replaces Geralt with Ciri during the main storyline;
  • Geralt - the opposite effect.

Cheats for changing the characteristics of the main character:

  • Setlevel() - change the level (the level number is indicated in parentheses as a number);
  • Addexp() - adds the specified number of experience points;
  • Cat() - 1 or 0 disables and enables the witcher's night vision;
  • Setbeard() - changes the length of Geralt's beard.

Changes on the map:

  • showAllFT(1) - allows you to open the door through the console in The Witcher 3 or get to any point on the map;
  • gotoNovigrad / Skellige / KaerMorhen / Prolog / PrologWinter - sends the player to one of the specified locations.

Items. This:

  • additem() - before opening the console in The Witcher 3 and entering this command, find the name of the item with its numeric code;
  • addmoney() - credits the specified number of orens to the hero’s account;
  • removemoney() - removes the amount.

Now you know how to open the console in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and what codes can be activated through it. We recommend saving the game in a separate slot before using cheats to avoid losing progress if game elements break.
