Quite often I cook wings in the oven, or simply bake them, or brown them on the grill. Chicken wings are a versatile product. You can cook at home, outdoors, in the country. In addition, chicken wings are a dietary dish. There is very little fat in the wings.

In the mood, I decided to try a slightly different dish of their chicken wings. And it turned out very, very tasty. Wings prepared this way turn out very tender, the sauce complements the dish. Served separately or with almost any side dish, rice, pasta, potatoes, buckwheat.

To prepare we need:

  1. Chicken wings 1-1.5 kg.
  2. Carrots - 2-3 pcs.
  3. Onions 2-3 pcs.
  4. Tomatoes 3-4 pcs.
  5. Salt, pepper to taste
  6. Vegetable oil

Tomatoes can be replaced with chopped tomatoes; in this recipe we only need pulp and juice from tomatoes. I prefer to buy Italian tomatoes in iron cans or Tetra Pak bags.

Wash the wings and separate the outer phalanx from the wing with a knife. The phalanges can be left and frozen for use in making broth. Sometimes you need a cup of broth, and there is no point in boiling a whole chicken; frozen phalanges will help out.

Prepare the vegetables, grate the tomatoes, discard the skin.

Cut the onion into half rings and the carrots into thin strips.

Salt the wings, place them on a baking sheet and place them in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 15 minutes.

Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan, add carrots to the heated oil, fry for a couple of minutes.

The carrots are followed by onions.

Meanwhile, our wings were browned but not cooked yet. We take them out of the oven.

Carrots and onions are also half cooked.

Place half of the vegetables on the bottom of a thick-bottomed pan.

Place chicken wings on top of the vegetables, salt and pepper.

Place the remaining vegetables on top of the wings.

Pour in tomato puree and add a little more salt on top of the vegetables. Place the pan on the stove, bring to a boil and simmer over low heat with the lid closed for 30 minutes.

Braised chicken wings are ready. It can be served as a separate dish or with a side dish. I like it with rice.

To prepare stewed wings, you need to take a saucepan or cauldron. Although you can cook them in a slow cooker. The wings are washed and dried. The smallest phalanx is removed. You can save it for soup. The onion is peeled and cut into thin half rings. Onions and wings are mixed and seasoned with salt, pepper and spices. Add oil and ketchup. Everything is mixed. Leave the wings to marinate for about an hour, covered with a lid.

Then everything is loaded into a slow cooker or saucepan. Cook covered over low heat. When the onions and wings release their juice, you can add a little water. Simmer until done. When the wings are ready, the meat should come away from the bones easily. And the onions make a very tasty sauce.

To prepare this version of the dish you need to take:

  • A kilogram of wings.
  • One onion.
  • One carrot.
  • One bell pepper.
  • A small bunch of dill.
  • One ripe tomato.
  • Vegetable oil and spices to taste.

Pour a little oil into the frying pan. Fry the onion for a couple of minutes. Then carrots and peppers are added to it. Simmer for about five minutes. Place wings on a bed of vegetables, pour in half a glass of water and cover the saucepan with a lid. After fifteen minutes, add the tomato. You can add additional salt to everything. Wash and dry the wings, trim the tips. Cut the joint into two parts.

Pour starch into a bowl and stir the wings, so they will turn out juicier after frying. Let stand for 20 minutes.

Heat oil for frying in a frying pan, preferably refined. Place the wings and fry for 10 minutes over low heat on one side.

Turn over to the other side and fry for another 7 minutes over low heat.

Make the sauce: mix tomato paste, soft butter, red and black pepper and paprika. The garlic cloves need to be peeled and finely chopped, added to the bowl and stirred. The sauce is ready.

Remove the wings from the pan. If they are too greasy, you can blot them with napkins. Now, if desired, add the sauce to the bowl and stir. Or you can serve the wings and sauce separately.

Peel, wash and chop the onion finely.

Place the onion in a hot frying pan and fry until golden brown. While the onions are frying, wash, peel and grate the carrots.

Fry carrots and onions.

Add tomato and mayonnaise to the frying, add a little salt and pepper. Place the wings here and add water to cover the meat.

Simmer for 25-30 minutes. If the liquid evaporates, add more water.

Finally add bay leaf and chopped garlic.

After 2 minutes the gravy is ready. You can serve with potatoes, porridge, pasta.

Recipe 6: Chicken wings in soy sauce in a frying pan

While you have a tender love for baked wings, don’t forget that fried ones are also – oh, so attractively aromatic and tasty! And marinated in soy sauce - even more so.

  • 1.2-1.3 kg chicken wings
  • 3-5 tbsp. spoons of soy sauce
  • 6-7 tbsp. tablespoons vegetable oil

Breading:

  • 2/3 cup cornmeal
  • 1-1.5 teaspoons ground paprika
  • 0.5-1 teaspoon turmeric (optional)

Wash the wings and remove the water with towels. Cut along the joints into 3 parts.

Place the remaining parts in a bowl, pour over soy sauce, and mix. We leave it on the table for 15-20 minutes, but you can marinate for several hours by placing it in the refrigerator.

Combine flour with turmeric and paprika, roll each piece of wings in this mixture.

The breading is good and dense, but we shake off the excess flour.

The oil in the pan should be at least 3-4 mm thick. Lay out the wings, fry in hot oil over medium-high heat until the crusts are brightly browned: 4-5 minutes on one side and the same on the other side.

Recipe 7: Crispy chicken wings in a frying pan

Delicious chicken wings with a crispy crust, and even with aromatic tomato sauce, will be very welcome in a friendly company, for example, with a glass of beer.

I mix starch with flour according to the recipe.

I roll the wings in this mixture of flour and starch.

Now I start frying the bird in a frying pan. I pour refined sunflower oil into a frying pan and heat it up. I put the wings here and fry them over medium heat.
