7) Saint Spyridon of Trimifuntsky and the thieves of sheep. Spiridon of Trimifuntsky also showed mercy to people with impure intentions. Once, two thieves climbed into the sheepfold belonging to the old man, who intended to steal several sheep. An unknown force tied the robbers, and they remained at the crime scene until the arrival of the saint. In the morning, seeing the weary robbers, Spiridon took pity on them and untied them. After exhortations to embark on an honest way of earning money, the bishop released the thieves, presenting them with two sheep. 8) Cheating a merchant and 100 goats. one day a merchant turned to the saint to purchase a hundred goats. Spiridon never checked the amount given to him, so the merchant planned to conceal part of the payment, equal to the cost of one goat. When the herd of animals left the fence, one goat did not want to leave the pen and constantly returned to its original place. The convicted merchant confessed to the saint of his dishonesty and paid extra for the animal.
9) Singing angels in an empty temple. There is a known case when Saint Spyridon entered an empty church, commanded to light the lamps and candles and began the service. But when they entered the church, they saw no one except the bishop with a few church ministers, and they heard no more heavenly singing, from which they came to great amazement.
10) Saint Spyridon of Trimifunsky and the idols of Alexandria. Saint's life
In the small village of Askia, not far from the city of Trimifunt, in Cyprus in about 270, the future Great Wonderworker was born. Church history tells about the participation of Father Spyridon in the first Ecumenical Council in 325, where he competed with a philosopher from Greece who preached the Arian heresy.
