Setting up a PIN

How to enable security mode?

How to bring the key fob into working order?

  1. To do this, you need to remove the security mode, open the door and turn on the ignition.
  2. Then you need to hit the call sensor ten times with an interval between strikes of less than one and a half seconds. A red LED will respond to each hit.

The activation of the programming mode will be accompanied by a fast blinking of the blue LED. Each digit is programmed by strokes. Their number corresponds to the number. One and a half seconds after the input, the input is confirmed. The unit emits an appropriate number of blue flashes, after which it switches back to blinking mode.

The remaining digits of the code are entered in the same way. Confirmation of data entry and exit from the programming mode will be accompanied by a single siren sound and a single alarm flash.

Enabling security mode

In order to turn on the security mode, you must turn off the ignition of the car and close all the doors. After that, a single short press of button 1 on the key fob is made. Thus, the mode is activated, the starter is blocked and all doors are locked.

The activation of the mode is accompanied by the following indication:

  • one-shot siren sound;
  • single flashing of the alarm;
  • blinking of the indicator with an interval of one second;
  • five times flashing of car headlights and the icon of a closed lock on the key fob;
  • single beep from the switch.

After that, the closed lock icon lights up and is displayed until the vehicle is unlocked. From this moment on, the system continuously analyzes and monitors the sensor readings. Thirty seconds later, the shock sensor is activated.

In the event that the engine remains on, the process of setting the security mode is slightly different. As in the previous case, it is necessary to close all doors and press button 1 on the switch once.

The mode activation indication is similar to the previous case. In this case, the shock sensor will be disabled until the ignition of the car is turned off. Thirty seconds after stopping the engines, the analysis of such signals is activated.

This allows you to regulate the temperature of the passenger compartment, as well as maintain the operating voltage in the battery.

Timer autostart

It is necessary to set the remote autostart of the system by timer in this way: simultaneously press buttons 2 and 4. It is also with their help that the start time is set.

After the timer is turned on, the TIMER indicator on the display lights up, and the engine operation is regulated according to the time specified by the user.

Four different engine starting modes are possible according to the preset timer:

  • daily at a specified time;
  • periodically, every eight hours;
  • every four hours;
  • every two hours.

Periodic switching is used to control the temperature in the passenger compartment (heating or cooling the space).

It is possible to install only one mode, it is not supposed to combine them. Setting a different behavior model automatically disables the previous one.

Turning on and off the engine start according to the timer is accompanied by sound signals and light indication. The display flashes five times.

The exact time of the automatic start must be specified only during daily switching on. In all other modes, the report starts from the moment the function is enabled.

Why the autostart of the Scher-Khan Magicar 5 alarm may not work

If the Sherkhan Magikar 5 autorun system is unable to remotely start the engine, the key fob will emit three short signals. Accordingly, there will be three flashes of alarm, and after three seconds a series of flashes will occur. This series displays what error occurred.

Therefore, depending on the number of flashes, it is possible to determine why the engine does not start:

  1. If there is one blink, it means that the engine is already on.
  2. If two - the ignition is on.
  3. If three - opening one of the doors prevents the start.
  4. If four - a similar situation, but with the trunk or the hood.
  5. In the event that the system responded to you by flashing five times, the start reservation for the vehicle in mechanical transmission has not been made.

If the remote engine start fails, the system will try to start it again. In the event that this cannot be done three times in a row, the alarm will go into standby mode. If this happens, the car will no longer start, you need to contact the service center to determine the cause of the problem.

The system can memorize the codes of three key fobs. Follow two steps to program new keyfobs.

1. Turn the ignition key three times from OFF to ON.

The alarm will flash once to confirm entering the programming mode.

2. Not later than 4 sec. after the flashing of the alarm, press the button I of the key fob, the code of which must be entered into the memory of the processor unit.

If after step 1 no action is taken, after 4 sec. the alarm will flash 2 times, the system will switch from the keyfob programming mode to the VALET mode.

Note: the system has three memory cells for storing keyfob codes. If you try to write the fourth keyfob, the code of the first recorded keyfob will be deleted.

KEY FOB PROGRAMMING

The system can memorize the codes of three key fobs.

To write keyfob codes:

1) In the "disarmed" mode with the ignition on, press the button on the call sensor body for 2 seconds. Alarm will flash once

2) Within 5 sec. briefly press the call sensor button. The alarm will flash twice if the personal code PIN 1 is not used (programmable function 1-6 in the factory

value, see page 69) or once if using PIN 1 (programmable function 1-6 in optional value)

3) If PIN 1 is used, it is necessary to enter its value (“Entering the personal code PIN 1 in the keyfob programming mode”, items 5 to 8 on page 60). The alarm will flash twice

4) After 5 sec. the LED will light up blue, confirming the readiness to enter the keyfob codes

5) Within 5 sec. shortly press button I of the first remote control. In confirmation of the code recording, the alarm will flash 1 time. Then you can enter the code of the second and third keyfobs, after successfully entering the code of each new keyfob, the alarm will flash 1 time, after entering the code of the third keyfob, the alarm will flash twice and the system will exit the keyfob programming mode.

When writing the code of at least one new key fob, the codes of all key fobs previously recorded in the system memory will be deleted

To exit programming mode, do not take any action for 4 seconds. after writing the code of the last keyfob.

If after step 4 no action is taken, then after 5 sec. You will hear one siren signal *, the alarm will flash once, the system will switch from keyfob programming mode to VALET mode.

PROGRAMMING NEW KEY FOBS

The system can memorize the codes of four key fobs.

To start programming new key fobs, you need to:

Turn on the car ignition

In the case when the PIN code is not used (the factory value of the programmable function is 20), the following sequence of actions must be performed:

1) Within 5 seconds, shortly press the VALET button three times. The system will confirm the action taken with one flash of the alarm

2) Within the next 5 seconds, briefly press the button of the first remote control. The system will confirm the successful entry of the keyfob code with one flash of the alarm. The new keyfob code will be added to the processor unit memory. This will delete the keyfob code that was programmed first.

3) In the case when it is necessary to program the codes of several key fobs, it is necessary to sequentially press the button on each of them with a time interval between presses of at least 1 second and no more than 5 seconds. The system will confirm each press with one flash of the alarm.

If no action is taken within 5 seconds, the system will automatically end the mode of programming new key fobs, which will be confirmed by two flashes of the alarm

4) If four key fobs are programmed, then after pressing the button on the last of them, the system will automatically end the mode of programming new key fobs, which will be confirmed by two flashes of the alarm. In the event that less than four keyfobs are programmed and it is necessary to delete the codes of the previous keyfobs from the memory, press the button on any of the keyfobs several times until the system exits the programming mode (two flashes of the alarm)

In the case when a PIN code is used (value 2 of programmable function 20), for programming new

keyfobs, you must perform the following sequence of actions:

1) Entering the first digit of the PIN-code (factory value - "1"). To do this, shortly press the VALET button in a row the required number of times, corresponding to the first digit of the PIN-code. The time interval between clicks should be no more than 3 seconds. After that, do not perform any action for 3 seconds. After this time has elapsed, the system will confirm the entry of the first digit with one flash of the alarm

2) Entering the second digit of the PIN-code (factory value - "1"). To do this, shortly press the VALET button in a row the required number of times, corresponding to the second digit of the PIN-code. To enter the PIN code correctly, you must start entering the second digit no later than 3 seconds after the alarm flashes, confirming the entry of the first digit. The time interval between clicks should also be no more than

3 seconds. After entering the second digit, do not perform any action for 3 seconds. After this time has elapsed, the system will confirm the entry of the correct PIN-code values ​​with one flash of the alarm. If two flashes of the alarm signal follow, it means that the PIN-code was entered incorrectly, while the system returns to the initial mode and it is impossible to update the keyfob codes.

After three unsuccessful attempts entering a PIN-code, this operation is blocked for 30 minutes

3) Within 5 seconds after confirming the correct PIN-code entry, shortly press the button of the first remote control. The system will confirm the successful entry of the keyfob code with one flash of the alarm. The new keyfob code will be added to the processor unit memory. This will delete the keyfob code that was programmed first.

4) When it is necessary to program the codes of several keyfobs, it is necessary to sequentially press the button on each of them with an interval of time between presses of at least 1 second and no more than 5 seconds. The system will confirm each press with one flash of the alarm. If no action is taken within 5 seconds, the system will automatically end the mode of programming new key fobs, which will be confirmed by two flashes of the alarm

5) If four remote controls are being programmed, after pressing the button on the last of them, the system will automatically end the mode of programming new remote controls, which will be confirmed by two flashes of the alarm. In the event that less than four keyfobs are programmed and it is necessary to delete the codes of the previous keyfobs from the memory, press the button on any of the keyfobs several times until the system exits the programming mode (two flashes of the alarm)

PROGRAMMING TECHNIQUE FOR NEW KEYROBS

ATTENTION!

The system has a secure algorithm for writing new key fobs,which excludes unauthorized recording of key fobs into memorysystems. To ensure the secrecy of the recording, do not forget to enter the codeemergency shutdown PIN 1.

The system can memorize the codes of three key fobs. To start programming, the system must be disarmed using the key fob or emergency using the PIN1 ignition lock or using the PIN2 call sensor. Also, on the keyfob being recorded, the Hands Free function must be turned off.

Follow four steps to program new keyfobs:

1. Turn the key in the ignition switch from OFF to ON three times. The alarm will flash once to confirm that the first step has been completed. Switch off the ignition.

2. Not later than 4 sec. after the flash of the alarm, turn on the ignition the number of times corresponding to the first digit of the personal code (factory value is "1"). Switch off the ignition. The alarm will flash once to confirm that the second digit is ready.

3. Not later than 4 sec. after the flash of the alarm, turn on the ignition the number of times corresponding to the second digit of the personal code (factory value is "1"). Switch off the ignition.

The alarm will flash once to confirm that the third digit is ready.

4. Not later than 4 sec. after the flashing of the alarm, press the button I of the key fob, the code of which must be entered into the memory of the processor unit. With an interval of no more than 4 seconds, you can press buttons 1 of the three key fobs, then the system will remember their codes. If it is necessary to write down the code of only one remote control, then shortly press the button I of this remote control three times.

To exit the programming mode, do not take any action for 4 seconds. after writing the code of the last keyfob.

Two flashes of the alarm will follow, confirming the exit from the keyfob codes programming mode.

Deactivating the signaling from the keychain

The system can operate in a passive mode, when the protection is activated half a minute after all doors and covers on the body are closed. If the doors are not opened when the system is turned off, it will automatically arm. To use the passive mode, it should be activated by short pressing on the second and third buttons of the main remote control.

If the doors and the trunk lid were opened and closed, the system will turn on the protection half a minute after the lock of the last element is clicked.

Keychain - communicator

The supplied main key fob has the following functional features:

  • thanks to the four-button scheme, it is possible to control all the functions of the system;
  • the signal from the keyfob is encoded according to a special Magic Code scheme, which prevents interception and recording;
  • built-in backlit display provides visual display of all operations;
  • when working with the system, the key fob confirms the commands with a sound or vibration signal;
  • additional information from sensors can be displayed on the screen;
  • the key fob is the main tool for programming the automatic start;
  • the keyfob is used to configure the system parameters.

After unpacking and installing the system on the car, you must bring the main key fob into working condition. To do this, you need to remove the dielectric gasket installed between the contact pads of the battery and the power supply circuit of the key fob.

Algorithm of actions:

  1. Open the battery compartment cover. To do this, open the latch and slide the cover towards the bottom of the key fob.
  2. Remove the battery from the compartment.
  3. Remove the gasket along the entire length of the element.
  4. Return the battery to the locally, observing the polarity of the installation, which is shown on the sticker. If there is no marking, remember that the negative pole of the battery is always directed towards the antenna of the Sherkhan Magikar key fob.
  5. Close the cover and snap the catch.

Autostart security system

By autostarting the system, we mean turning on and off the security without pressing the buttons on the key fob. The mode is called "hands-free" and is activated by pressing for two seconds on button one on the main key fob. The system automatically turns on or off at a distance of up to 35 meters from the vehicle. When operating the alarm in an environment of strong interference, this distance can be reduced to 15 meters.

Hands-free control is possible only with the main key fob with a display.

Autostart engine

When using automatic start, you must remember and follow several rules:

  1. It is allowed to use autostart only when the machine is placed on a ventilated area and subject to visual contact.
  2. Do not start automatically when people are standing in front of or behind the vehicle.
  3. A parked vehicle must be secured with a working parking brake.
  4. Before turning on the autostart function on machines with a manual method of gear shifting, it is necessary to set "program neutral".
  5. Observe the coolant or oil levels.
  6. Set in advance on the microclimate control unit the blowing directions and the desired air temperature in the passenger compartment.
  7. Do not pass the remote control key fob to children.

Before turning on the engine starting system on vehicles with a manual gearbox, it is necessary to program the neutral position of the gearbox lever. There are three options for this, a description of the steps for performing each of them is given below. The mode can be programmed through the system settings menu.

The first option provides for:

  1. Stop in a parking space, set the parking brake, move the gearbox lever to neutral and remove the key from the lock cylinder.
  2. With the engine still running, open the door, leave the vehicle and slam it behind you. The motor should stop.

If you need to pick up things from the trunk, then you should use the second option:

  1. After setting the lever to neutral and turning off the ignition, the driver gets out of the car and does not close the door behind him.
  2. Open the trunk and take out everything you need.
  3. Close the door and then slam the luggage compartment lid. The engine will stop and will be ready to start automatically.

The third option is as follows:

  1. Move to neutral and apply the parking brake.
  2. Close the doors.
  3. Press button two on the key fob for two seconds.
  4. Switch off the ignition and get out of the car.
  5. Close the door, after which the motor will stop.

When installing autorun on the machine, the neutral setting procedure is not required, it is enough just to put the gearbox selector into parking mode.

To ensure remote engine start, it is necessary to install a device to bypass the immobilizer.

The engine can be started by pressing the second button on the key fob. After starting the engine, the display will show the remaining running time. This parameter is programmable and can be 45/25/15 or 5 minutes. If necessary, the car door can be opened by pressing the first button and, within 20 seconds, insert the key into the lock and turn it to the active ignition position.

Timer autostart

To activate and deactivate the function, briefly press buttons three and four, after which the icon with the inscription Timer will turn on on the screen.

There are two options for working, which are configured programmatically:

  • daily launch, repeated every 24 hours;
  • autorepeat every 2/4/8 hours.

To enable the daily start, it is necessary to carry out the so-called mode backup.

This requires:

  1. Turn off timer mode by briefly pressing buttons two and four.
  2. To enter the setting, press buttons one and two for a few seconds.
  3. Turn on the mode by pressing 13 times on the button four. Each press will be accompanied by a signal.
  4. Select the repeat time by pressing the buttons (the second button gives a repeat for 8 hours, the third for 4 hours and the fourth for two hours).
  5. Turn on the timer.

Autostart by temperature and battery voltage

The engine is turned on according to the temperature inside the cabin minus 15 or 25 degrees in winter time and plus 60 in the summer.

  1. Disable timer start mode.
  2. Press the button four 21 times.
  3. Use the buttons to select the activation threshold (the fourth - plus 60, the third - minus 25 and the second - minus 15).
  4. Turn on the timer.

When adjusting the voltage in the on-board network, the system will work at a value of 11.5 V.

  1. Press the fourth button 20 times.
  2. Switch on voltage start with button two.

In all heating modes, the operating time of the power unit can be varied.

To do this, the steps are taken:

  1. Press button number four twelve times.
  2. Select the operating time using buttons from the first to the fourth, choosing each time from the range of 5-15-25-45 minutes.

Scher-Khan Magicar 5 alarm autostart malfunctions

The main causes of malfunctions that are possible when the Sher-Khan Magikar 5 alarm is triggered:

  1. The engine will not start, although the autostart backup is normal. This could be due to oxidized fuse legs in the main power circuit. Another reason may be the failure of the regular immobilizer crawler or sticking of contacts in the control relay.
  2. The motor starts and then stalls after a few seconds of running. In this case, in normal mode, the engine starts from the ignition switch without problems. One of the probable causes could be damage to the inside of the 5-pole relay installed in the main unit.
  3. A common reason why the start does not work is incorrect parameter settings. To eliminate this it is necessary to return the system to the factory defaults and re-program.
  4. Sometimes the reason that the automatic start stopped working may be the inclusion of Valet mode. This mode is characterized by a constantly lit control diode. After exiting the setup mode, the start returns to normal.
