    Battery protection (warning about unplugged dimensions)

    Alarm SHER-KHAN MagiKar-5 helps to protect the car battery from discharge. If you forgot to turn off the side lights, then when arming, the communicator keyfob will give a series of beeps for 5 seconds. At this time, the images of the lock and side lights will flash on the display. The warning beep will repeat every 30 seconds. three times.

    Starter or ignition interlock

    The system in the security mode will not allow starting the car engine. When an attempt is made to start the engine in the armed mode, the system will send an alarm signal to the communicator key fob. The ignition switch-on alarm will be indicated by the flashing of the side lights on the communicator key fob, sound and vibration signals. The engine blocking mode is selected when the system is installed at a service station and depends on the values of two programmable functions 1-4 and 1-8. You can find out more about blocking the engine of your car at the place of installation of the system. When starter lock is selected, the system will prevent the car's starter from restarting if the engine is started in automatic mode.

    Open door warning

    The SCHERKHAN MAGICAR V car alarm warns of an open door (programmable function 1-2). When a custom function value is selected, the alarm flashes if the car door is open.

    Protection of the radio channel from interception of the code

    The system has special protection for the commands transmitted by the key fob. Each time you press the button on the system key fob, the code message changes according to a special algorithm. This is done to protect the system from interception of the code and its selection (intellectual hacking of the security system). The code protection algorithm is specially developed for the SCHER-KHAN MAGICAR system and is unique, not used in one security system of other brands.

    Motor protection in auto start mode

    The system continuously monitors engine operation in automatic start mode. If the engine stops before the end of the warm-up cycle (engine malfunction or out of fuel), then no later than 20 seconds. the system processor unit will turn off the ignition. Automatic restart of the engine will not be possible until the malfunction is eliminated. For vehicles with a manual transmission, it is necessary to execute the redundancy mode again.

    Shock sensor sensitivity adjustment

    You can adjust the sensitivity of the shock sensor depending on your requirements. A regulator is provided on the sensor to adjust the sensitivity. Turning the knob clockwise increases the sensitivity, and counterclockwise decreases it, until the sensor is turned off. Consult a service station for the location of the shock sensor, it should be easily accessible for adjustment.

    Adjusting the sensitivity of the owner call sensor

    You can adjust the sensitivity of the car owner call sensor depending on your requirements. To adjust the sensitivity, a step regulator with three positions is provided on the sensor. The extreme left position of the regulator corresponds to the minimum sensitivity of the sensor, the extreme right - to the maximum. The sensor should be located in the lower corner of the car's windshield.

    Adjusting the volume of the siren confirmation signals

    You can adjust the volume of the siren short beeps. To decrease the volume, you must cut the loop from the wire on the siren body. The system can be equipped with any siren in accordance with the wishes of the owner, including one where there is no adjustment option.

    Redundancy Mode (Manual Transmission Only)

    The standby mode prevents the engine from starting automatically if the manual transmission lever is not in neutral. Depending on your requirements, you can choose one of three backup algorithms (programmable function 1-6).

    Algorithm 1
    Algorithm 2

    To perform redundancy (preparing the car for the subsequent automatic engine start), do the following:

  • At the end of the trip, without turning off the engine, set the gear lever to neutral.
  • Close the hood / trunk doors
  • Remove the key from the ignition switch (OFF position). The engine will continue to run
  • Open the door and exit the car. Close the door. The engine will stall.
  • Opening the door after completing the fifth step will make it impossible to automatically start the engine. Diagnostics of the reasons for its failure is described below.

    If at least one step from the above algorithm is not performed, then there will be no redundancy mode and automatic engine start will not occur. In this algorithm, redundancy will be disabled if the door, hood / trunk is open at the time the ignition is turned off.

    Algorithm 3

    To perform redundancy (preparing the car for the subsequent automatic engine start), do the following:

  • At the end of the trip, without turning off the engine, set the gear lever to neutral.
  • Close the hood / trunk doors
  • Press for 2 sec. button II of the keychain
  • Remove the key from the ignition switch (OFF position). The engine will continue to run
  • Open the door and exit the car. Close the door. The engine will stall
  • Opening the door after completing the fifth step will make it impossible to automatically start the engine. Diagnostics of the reasons for its failure is described below.

    If at least one step from the above algorithm is not performed, then there will be no redundancy mode and automatic engine start will not occur. In this algorithm, making a reservation requires you to press button II of the key fob each time before turning off the ignition (by turning the key in the ignition lock to the OFF position).

    ATTENTION!

    Close the sunroof and windows before exiting the vehicle. Do not leave people or animals in the vehicle while performing the redundant mode.

    Do not automatically start the engine while people or animals are in the vehicle.

    Leave the transmission lever in neutral at all times. Do not use automatic engine start on open top vehicles.

    If the operation of the backup mode differs from the described algorithms or does not occur, immediately contact your service station for advice. Do not use the automatic engine start until the cause of the malfunction is eliminated.

    To make sure that "Sherkhan Magikar 5" has successfully entered the security mode, the system should show you a number of signals:

    • One-time siren activation;
    • One-time operation of the emergency light signal;
    • The LED indicator will start blinking, the blinking frequency will be 1 time per second;
    • Synchronous five-time blinking of headlights;
    • A single short signal from the key fob itself.

    Sensor operation

    If the indicator light is flashing, it means that the security system is monitoring the doors, trunk and other parts of the car through which it can be entered. "Sherkhan Magikar 5" additionally checks all sensors and continuously monitors them, while the motorist can relax, because his car is in good hands!

    The device allows you to connect the delay control function for the lighting in the passenger compartment. If it is activated, the triggers are also controlled. Half a minute after the car has been armed, the shock sensor will start its work.

    Warning Signals

    It is important for the motorist to be vigilant and attentive to the car. For example, under no circumstances should the doors, trunk or hood be left open. "Sherkhan Magikar 5" will signal you about your inattention with a siren, three-time alarm and three-time signal on the key fob.

    To make it easier for you to find the part of the car that you left open, its image will be highlighted on the display. True, it is displayed on the screen only for 5 seconds, after which it will be replaced by the inscription "FALL", which also indicates the inattention of the motorist.

    If you have activated any sensor, then, unlike other communications of the device, it will not be closed, the security system will allow it to work until the user deactivates it.

    Passive transition to security mode

    In order for you not to forget to put the device in the security mode, "Sherkhan Magikar 5" can do it automatically. To do this, you just need to change the activation parameter for this function. With automatic arming, it will be activated half a minute after you closed the last door on your car. In this case, the key fob will constantly signal you that after a specified time the security mode will be activated. If, in 30 seconds, you open one of the doors, then the countdown will start over. Activation of passive protection is indicated by the inscription "Passive" on the key fob screen.

    Alarm mode

    "Sherkhan Magikar 5" works without any interruptions and errors, therefore, when the door is opened, the alarm mode is automatically activated, which lasts exactly 30 seconds, and if the cause of the alarm is eliminated, the security system will return to standard mode. If the cause is not corrected, then you will have another 8 cycles of 30 minutes to do it. If even after 4 minutes you could not eliminate the disturbing factor, the security system will automatically switch to the armed mode.

    Signal triggering features

    In the event that a strong physical impact was exerted on the machine, and the shock sensor is triggered, it will work for 5 seconds in an alarm mode with a strong sound signal and alarm operation. If the physical impact was weak, then the motorist will hear 4 short signals. So you will always know when someone touched your car or tried to get into it!
