This article is about small square bedrooms. We took a 12 square meter room as a sample and created several sketch layouts. After all, the most important thing in design is proper design. Only by creating a good base - with the correct arrangement of furniture and the organization of several necessary areas (for sleeping and relaxing, storing things, working - if necessary), you can hope for a quality result in the end. By adding the right decor, you can easily turn a simply comfortable room into a cozy space where everything will be harmonious and harmonious. But now let's get down to the constructive.
A traditional bedroom should include:
- Double bed. The width of the bed varies from 160 cm to 220 cm and even more. In the case of a small room, we recommend not exceeding the size of 180 cm for a mattress - this is more than enough for a comfortable sleep for two people, and precious centimeters in the room can be used to better advantage.
- Wardrobe. Now more and more often there are dressing rooms in the layouts, but if there is none, the bedroom must have a place to store clothes, bed linen and other things.
- Dresser. A very handy piece of furniture for storing small clothes and underwear.
- Bedside cabinets. Here you can leave your mobile phone and other gadgets, books, necessary cosmetics and so on overnight.
- TV or monitor(optional).
- Dressing table(optional) .

Flaws: a relatively small wardrobe, a rather narrow passage between the bed and the TV wall; lack of space for a cabinet or chest of drawers under the TV.
What to look out for: The monitor must be very firmly attached to the wall; the corner of the cabinet closest to the entrance, in case of fear of bruises, can initially be smoothed out with shelves with a beveled corner or a slight rounding; the distance from the cabinet to the cabinet should allow you to freely open the sash and pass from the far corner of the cabinet itself.

Flaws: the chest of drawers (and possibly the monitor above it) is not symmetrical with respect to the bed.
What to look out for: the distance between the bedside table and the wardrobe (it is better to make the doors sliding so that they do not require additional space when opened); cabinets and a bed should not be bought wide - the distances in the room are small, and the more modest the dimensions of the objects, the more spacious the room will look.

Advantages: symmetry; separate storage cabinets on each side; the space occupied by the cabinets has been successfully given over to wardrobes, and the shelf behind the headboard has taken over their function.
What to look out for: the wall in front of the bed should be decorated quite boldly. It can be dark saturated paint colors, complex textures or massive decor - in this case, it is the design that is assigned the goal of balancing the space; on the opposite side, it is better to leave the furniture light so that it does not look so bulky.

Advantages: the bed is located directly opposite the window, which looks very nice in the final version; Lots of space to store clothes.
Flaws: the space to the left of the bed is somewhat “squeezed” - there is not much space there, therefore, if possible, the cabinet should not be large and heavy.
What to look out for: if the windows are given such a place of honor here, you should definitely pay special attention to their design - pick up beautiful textiles and designer radiators; also take care of thick lined curtains if the bright light from the window disturbs you in the morning.
